‘ Racing Green ‘ is the factory’s MG TA colour, also known as Dublin Green, EmGee Green or Apple Green. Racing Green looks quite acceptable as a ‘British Racing Green’ colour if you want a standard MG shade without having to have something mixed to pattern.

British Racing Green (BRG) used to represent any shade of green in the past. Today, it corresponds to a deep, rich shade of green with the #004225 hex value. In 1991, honoring the 1960s British roadsters that inspired Mazda MX-5, Mazda rolled out a limited edition of only 250 cars.

The British Standards Institute cannot even make up their minds on a standard: they offer BS 381C - 226 Mid Brunswick Green and BS 381C - 227 Deep Brunswick Green. So what is British Racing Green? Almost any green of your choice appears to be the answer.

1950 & 1951 - DB2 & DB3 - Cadillac Green described as a very dark non-metallic green (this is as dark as the classic Jaguar BRG but not so black). It was in 1951 that the racing colours were introduced, here being painted grills
